Billy Watson is currently working as PGA Coach at Long Reef Golf Club.
He started the game at an early age of 10 and has been playing all his golf at Long Reef Golf Club so far reaching great results. He represented NSW at the age of 17 in the Australian Interstate Series, apart from which he has also had many junior wins and several wins as a PGA professional.
During his traineeship, Billy Watson continued to hone his skills as a professional player, and meanwhile, he has developed a strong passion for coaching. Specialised in junior golf coaching, he created the Junior Elite Program at Long Reef Golf Club and has coached his students to more than 50 tournament wins across Australia. He is currently the coach of U14 Australian Boys Amateur Champion.
Being a coach, he has continued gaining knowledge of all aspects of the game. He has invested greatly into Trackman Technology and has got the certification of TPI level 1, which enhances his ability as a coach allowing him to help students of different abilities improve the game based on their individual limitations and to keep them from injury during playing. He feels experienced when teaching amateur golfers and is willing to help golfers of all levels to achieve their goals.
Billy Watson’s ultimate goal as a coach is “to make you better and help you achieve what you believed wasn’t possible.”
